Clint Eastwood’s Gran Torino is a powerful film filled with emotion, complexity and a poignant message. It is the story of a war veteran with blatant prejudices who unexpectedly becomes involved with a Hmong family when the boy tries to steal the prized Gran Torino as part of a gang initiation. Clint’s character, Walt, then takes the neighbor under his wing, so to speak, and an unlikely friendship develops where each character learns from the other. A strong, emotional journey.
