Canon XSi, good for photagraphing quick little elves

Canon XSi is one of the best digital SLR cameras around in less than $1000 price bracket
I asked my friend once how he got so many good pictures of his kids (as mine are constantly bouncing) he said “well, i take about 100 pictures for every good one” and told me that it wasn’t really possible until he got this camera. It rates well on all the camera blogs, and goes for $849.
